Microsoft live@edu and the Microsoft Office 365 suite provides students with great communication and collaboration tools while saving the school time and money. By delivering this with the same software as employers use it enables students to master the tools they will need to succeed in the job market. It offers:
- A co-branded hosted Exchange solution at no cost with 25Gb inbox per user
- 25GB of free online storage on Windows Live SkyDrive per student
- Anywhere access to e-mail, important documents, contacts and calendar on nearly any device
- Access to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote
- Team sites to share documents, task lists and schedules
The hardware and software is hosted remotely, meaning there is no investment required and it is easy to deploy. Despite this you maintain control allowing you to create, delete and store e-mail addresses as you would for a traditional system.
Web & e-mail security solutions
While cloud computing can bring many benefits, no implementation can be successful unless the security considerations of users accessing software and data from beyond the traditional network are considered.
